A Morning of Celebration: Honouring Our Mentors and Milestones

April 5, 2025 – A Day to Remember

On April 5th, 2025, the one2one Cayman family gathered to celebrate something truly special; the people at the heart of our mission: our Mentors.

Hosted in a spirit of gratitude and fellowship, the event brought together 20 dedicated mentors, 5 committed board members, and several community partners, all united by a shared passion for empowering Cayman’s youth. It was a joyful, heartfelt occasion to reflect on the incredible progress we’ve made together over the past year.

A Year of Growth and Impact

This past year has been one of momentum and meaningful impact. With our mentors leading the charge, we’ve strengthened our programmes, deepened our community partnerships, and reached more young people with the guidance and support they need to thrive.

From Youth Connections to our Youn Parent Mentoring Program, mentors have shown up, consistently and compassionately, proving that relationships built on trust can transform lives. The morning was a chance to say, "Thank you. You are making a difference."

Fellowship, Reflection, and Recognition

The atmosphere was one of warmth and celebration. Over coffee, breakfast bites, and shared stories, mentors reconnected, reflected on their journeys, and were recognized for their outstanding commitment.

Speakers highlighted the tangible impact our mentors have made—sharing powerful moments, breakthroughs, and the quiet, everyday acts that shape the lives of our mentees. We also took time to look ahead, filled with hope and purpose for the future we’re building together.

Looking Forward

This gathering wasn’t just about celebration; it was a reaffirmation of the strength of our community. Every mentor, board member, and supporter plays a role in moving our mission forward. And as we continue to grow, we remain committed to equipping our mentors with the tools and support they need to keep showing up strong.

To everyone who joined us on April 5th: thank you for being a part of this journey. Your energy, your empathy, and your belief in young people fuel everything we do.

Here’s to the next year of progress, connection, and hope—one relationship at a time.
