Going the Distance: Naro Zimmerman Runs the Jersey City Marathon for one2one

At one2one Cayman, we often talk about champions; people who go above and beyond to uplift our youth, advocate for our mission, and spread the power of mentorship. This quarter, we’re proud to shine a spotlight on one such champion: Naro Zimmerman.

On April 13th, 2025, Naro laced up his running shoes and took on the Jersey City Marathon. But this was more than just a race for Naro. It was a personal mission: to raise awareness and funds for the cause that remains close to his heart, one2one Cayman.

A Legacy of Mentorship

As a former mentor with one2one, Naro has long understood the power of showing up for young people. His commitment didn’t end when his match did. He continues to advocate for our programmes and support our efforts from near and far.

By choosing to run the Jersey City Marathon in support of one2one, Naro turned every mile into a message: every step counts when you're investing in the future of our youth.

More Than a Marathon

With a heart full of purpose and a community of supporters cheering him on, Naro not only finished the race strong but also raised meaningful funds that will directly support our mentoring initiatives. His efforts help us match more young people with caring adult mentors and give them the consistent guidance and support they deserve.

A Grateful Community

To Naro: your dedication, passion, and unwavering belief in the work we do is both humbling and inspiring. You’ve reminded us all that advocacy takes many forms and that even one person, one goal, and one run can make a lasting difference.

From everyone at one2one Cayman: thank you for going the distance literally and figuratively for our mission. Your journey inspires us to keep moving forward, one relationship at a time.
